Scholarships and Grants

The University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi provides opportunities for financially disadvantaged students to pursue higher education as part of its commitment to academic excellence. Its scholarships and financial assistance programs are designed to support underprivileged yet intellectually capable students.

INTERNAL SCHOLARSHIPS

For Basic Education Department (Junior High School and Senior High School)

  1. Arts Scholarship – Granted to students participating in the Chorale, Dance Troupe, and other recognized performing arts programs. Auditions are conducted at the end of the school year.

For Tertiary Education

  1. Rector’s Scholarship – The scholarship is awarded to students who graduated from Senior High School with the highest honors. It is granted to only one student per board program on a semestral basis, subject to a retention policy.

       2. Sports Scholarship – The scholarship is granted to highly talented student in sports such as basketball, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and athletics. The scholarship is open to students in all programs

 

      3. Arts Scholarship- The scholarship covers chorale, dance troupe, theater, band, and string ensemble. It is open to students in all programs.

 

      4. Teacher Education Grant (c/o College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE)) – The grant is awarded to takers of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd).

     

      5. Student Assistantship Program – The Student Assistantship Program (SAP) is a scholarship for financially challenged but deserving students. It is open to students in selected programs.

      6. Academic Scholarship – Open to students across all year levels, regardless of their chosen course.
