As manifested in its institutional vision, mission, and objectives, UST-Legazpi commits itself to take the lead in promoting what is Bikol and what the Bikolano academics can do, through the establishment of the Bikol Studies Center.
The Bikol Studies Center has been conceptualized as part of UST-Legazpi’s thrust in the promotion, propagation, and preservation of the Bikol Culture and Heritage.

The bottom element depicting Mayon Volcano signifies the seat of activities of the Bikol Studies Center, such as its home – the City of Legazpi with the province of Albay and its neighboring areas.
