Last June 27, 2023, the Office of Student Services (OSS) joined the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Bicol in another activity that strengthens the implementation of the Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) through CHED’s regional event entitled Bicol HEI’s: Sustaining Awareness and Fortifying Efforts of Partners Against Drugs Seminar or also known as B SAFE, PADS.
The 2023 B SAFE, PADS was attended by student leaders and student affairs directors of the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Bicol region, including officers of the Biol Council of Deans and Directors of Student Affairs and Services (BCODDSAS).
UST-Legazpi was represented by Mr. Silvino B. Balasta Jr., MPR, OSS Director, together with the incoming student leaders of the university for S.Y. 2023-2024.
Meanwhile, Mr. Balasta presented UST-Legazpi’s best practices in promoting the anti-illegal drugs campaign in a plenary session conducted as part of the said event.
In the end, UST-Legazpi was given a certificate of appreciation from CHED Bicol to recognize the university’s steadfast support and invaluable contribution to the implementation of the commission’s advocacy.
