OGT LAUNCHES “SOON TO BE ME”, GUIDES SHS STUDENTS TOWARDS COLLEGE LIFE

The Office of Guidance and Testing (OGT) started giving career tips to UST-Legazpi’s Grade 12 students who will graduate a few months from now. This is through their career guidance program entitled “Soon To Be Me” held on April 13, 2023 at the Daragang Magayon Hall (DMH).

The said program aims “to assist students in making informed educational and occupational choices, as these decisions will impact their social, financial, and emotional well-being throughout their life”, according to Sr. Ma. Angie Rose R. Panganiban, OP, MAEd, Officer-in-Charge of the said office, in her opening remarks.

Speakers for this year are Dr. Alvin A. Sario, Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE); Ms. Sherry Mae Llandelar, MIT, Program Chair for the Computer Science Program of the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Fine Arts (CEAFA); Ms. Lara Cal-Ortiz, RN, LPT, MASPED, Asstistant Program Chair for the Nursing Program of the College of Health Sciences (CHS); Celeste T. Yanzon, DBA, LL.B., Dean of the College of Business Management and Accountancy (CBMA), and; Ms. Ma. Fe C. Malagueño, LPT, Promotions Assistant of the Office of Media, Alumni, and Public Affairs (MAPA).

“Soon To Be Me” is one of UST-Legazpi’s programs to help Legazpi Thomasians see available academic options, walk them through their preferred learning styles, and develop plans to reach their educational and occupational goals.
