OGT CONDUCTS SERIES OF SEMINARS PROMOTING HEALTHY AND POSITIVE BEHAVIOR

Legazpi Thomasians were immersed once again in activities about the development of one’s health and outlook. This is through the efforts of UST-Legazpi’s Office of Guidance and Testing (OGT) in its series of seminars on anti-bullying, mental wellness, and social media etiquette.

“Bullyvard: An Anti-Bullying Campaign” was held last March 23, 2023 at the UST-Legazpi Dome with Atty. Antonio C. Bron as resource speaker. Participants came from the Junior and Senior High School departments. The said activity aimed to spread awareness of bullying, and promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion not only in a school setting but also in everyday life.

The next day was dedicated to the Tertiary Legazpi Thomasians as they were taught about boundaries in the vast world of social media. The event entitled “Boundaries on Freedom of Speech: A Social Media Etiquette Seminar” was held last March 24, 2023 at the UST-Legazpi Dome. Atty. Antonio C. Bron, the resource speaker, walked the students through the scope and limits of using freedom of speech in social media. Atty. Bron also took the chance to teach the participants about the Data Privacy Act to spread awareness of the consequences of the irresponsible use of social media.

Meanwhile, last April 1, 2023, the student body from the College of Law and Graduate School was given a chance to recognize the importance of holistic well-being and happiness in personal life, in the pursuit of academic excellence, and thriving in the workplace. This is through the “Less Stress, More Happiness: A Mental Wellness, Growth, and Development Session.” Serving as the guest speaker is Dr. Marylendra A. Penetrante, a distinguished wellness advocate and life skills coach who also works as a Psychologist.

The Office of Guidance and Testing continues to nurture and strengthen further the well-being of all the members of the Legazpi Thomasian Community.
