Before SY 2023-2024 begins, the newly elected and appointed student leaders from the tertiary level paid a courtesy call to UST-Legazpi’s Rector and President, Rev. Fr. Ernesto M. Arceo, OP, STL, PhD, last June 15, 2023 at the Rector’s Board Room. The said courtesy call serves as a kickoff activity before their reign in the university begins.
Fr. Arceo radiated an inspiring and happy mood as he accommodated the incoming student officers. He gladly shared pointers on how to effectively manage organizations and lead constituents based on his experience as a top leader of the university for the last twelve years.
Fr. Ernie also highlighted the importance of sticking to every leader’s core values and making it a moral compass especially in making decisions that will benefit the student body.
In the end, the new set of student officers were also able to get exclusive photo ops with the 8th Rector and President of the university before the said official bows out of his position this month.
Looking back, the new set of student officers were named as a result of the recent “Pirilian” which took place last April 18-19, 2023.
