Ranga, a Bikol term that means love, is the moniker used on one of UST-Legazpi’s culminating activities headed by the Center for Sports, Wellness, Culture and the Arts (CSWCA). This event focused on dance, music, and theatrical performances, was put to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but a few years after, returned with fresh faces and executions.
On February 24, 2023, Ranga returned as an external event held at Peñaranda Park as one of the cultural night presentations of the Albay Provincial Tourism Culture and the Arts Office (PTCAO). The university’s Chorale, Dance Troupe, and S.T.A.G.E. (theatre group) performed cultural dances, skits, and revival of songs with messages of hope.
Ranga also served as the closing program of UST-Legazpi’s Arts Month Celebration.
