God of all nations, beneficent creator and generous provider,
You who guide all creation to its proper perfection,
enlighten our vision and guide our mission
that we may see clearly and love truly as we realize our goals and objectives.
Imbue us with Your unending grace, that we may flourish as persons integrally,
and be one in mind and heart as a community.
Keep our passion for the truth bright and our compassion for humanity burning
empowering us to be agents of Christian social transformation.
Sustain us in harmony with nature
that we may be responsible stewards of Your creation.
Merciful Lord of our restless being, strengthen us to soar beyond the limits of our weakness and vulnerability,
so that we may praise, bless, and preach You in a life of truth and love out of gratitude.
We ask this, O Loving Father, through Jesus Christ Your Son, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
Amen.

We sing a song as we behold
Your timeless beauty and truth unfold
We thank the Lord who to us bestowed
This melody sung in harmony
To you we offer the seeds we sow
With your spirit we’ll always go
Into the future we’ll walk with you
And follow your path to be faithful and true.
Chorus:
Aquinas, Aquinas, let a ray of your brightness
Free us from the darkness
Aquinas, Aquinas, let your glowing ember
Teach our hearts to serve forever.
We entrust to you our land revered
We’ll share with you our dreams fulfilled
We thank the Lord through all our days
To Alma Mater we sing this praise.
(Repeat Chorus 2x)
The current seal of University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi is in the shape of a circle that symbolizes the transforming and perfecting way of Dominican learning under the patronage of St. Thomas Aquinas. Inside the circle is the shield of faith that represents the protection against evil and falsities.
The shield’s chief escutcheon depicting Mayon Volcano represents the seat of activities of University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi since its establishment in 1948, i.e., the City of Legazpi, Albay province and the surrounding areas. The blue background honors the Marian color, which depicts the University’s devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The blazing sun in dexter escutcheon stands for St. Thomas Aquinas, who is the patron of knowledge which illuminates the darkness of error represented by the black field.
The three fleur-de-lis (flowers of the lily) in the escutcheon stand for the virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity, bases of the pure Christian life impressed by the University upon its students represented by the white field.
