The University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi takes pride in successfully retaining the ISO 9001:2015 Certification of its Quality Management System after a year of securing it.
The Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) facilitated the Surveillance Audit 1 with a focus on the certification scope “Provision of Dominican Basic, Undergraduate and Professional Education”.
After painstaking preparations, the said surveillance audit yielded bright results with UST-Legazpi having zero non-conformance (minor or major), and upon demonstrating the ability of the management system to fulfill the requirements of the audit standards, SGS recommended that the university have its ISO 9001:2015 Certification continued.
During the closing meeting, the institution’s Rector and President, Rev. Fr. Ernesto M. Arceo, OP, STL, PhD happily shared his message of gratitude to the Legazpi Thomasian Community.
“The university is very happy with the result,” Fr. Arceo said.
“I would like to thank the men and women of UST-Legazpi for making this happen,” he added.
With this additional milestone, surely, UST-Legazpi continues its position to move forward towards a quality of culture to serve our dearest Legazpi Thomasians with nothing but excellence.
